Antique or near antique spider brooch that powder tests positive for gold, plated I assume. It has a big luminous magenta moonstone (or moonstone-like glass) body, and a faceted crystal head. Big, measures about 2.25" across its longest.
 
Condition is excellent with age-appropriate wear to metal finish and all surfaces, other age-appropriate wear may include metal tarnish or patina or loss of plating, older glass may have dimmed or lost some of its foil backing, and light use marks may be visible on close inspection of hard surfaces.
